These are all the “Places to Go” that have been mentioned in the Homeschool Newsletters thus far! they are in alphabetical order.
- Beloved Farms 6889 N 775 E, Grandview, IN 47615. Neat farm store that has wonderful lunch specials, take and bake supper meals, desserts and ice cream, fresh local produce and farm made products, and GORGEOUS scenery! Closed Mondays and Tuesdays, Wednesdays through Saturday is 8am-6pm and Sundays are 1-5pm. Well worth the little drive!
- Dailey Bread New and Used Homeschool store in Henderson. 15238 State Route 351 E. Henderson, KY 42420 Amazing place to ask questions about curriculum and resources and look at materials before you buy them! Tons of used (but in amazing shape!) curriculum and materials.

- Engelbrecht’s Countryside Orchard. 16800 Old Petersburg Rd. Evansville. U-Pick peaches, apples, and sunflowers now through September! 9;00am-1:00pm daily. The U-Pick season is here! Join us for some fun at the farm! We have LOTS of peaches ready to pick. Peaches will be available until the end of August. Apples are available now through September. New this year – SUNFLOWERS! Take some pictures (don’t forget to tag our page and share!) with our beautiful sunflower field and then cut some to take home to brighten someone’s day! All produce available while supplies last. Bring your family and bring your friends! It will be a day you always remember!
- Goebel Farms 4745 West Boonville New Harmony Rd, Evansville. Corn maze, hayrides to the U-pick pumpkin patch. Petting zoo, barn slide, Apple Cider slushees!
Our farm stand will be open to sell pumpkins, squash, gourds, mums, cornstalks and decorative corn beginning next week!
The barn slide will also be available.
Here are our hours starting Friday, September 10th:
Monday through Saturday 9am to 6pm
Sunday, September 12th and Sunday, September 19th: 1:30pm to 5pm
All other Sundays in September and October will be 11:30am to 5pm
All other activities and hayrides will begin on Saturday, September 25th at designated times.
- Hiking! It is the most gorgeous time to be hiking in Southern Indiana! The leaves are starting to turn colors, the weather is getting cooler, and the mosquitoes are FINALLY starting to die off! Ooh pack a sack lunch and make it an adventure to go walking/hiking! I recommend the following places to hike/walk…
-Scales Lake Park in Boonville… tons of hiking and biking trails!
-The walkway along the River in Newburgh… swing up to Cleo’s bakery and grab some rosemary honey biscuits while you are at it!

-USI’s Burdette Trail and Trail Loop
-Pigeon Creel Greenway
-Rotary Nature Trail at North Woods

- Walther’s Golf & Fun 2301 N 1st Ave, Evansville. Local review posted last week… “SO much to do!! The mini golf courses are fantastic! Not too easy, but not too hard! Laser tag was an absolute blast! Even if I did get worn out doing it! And the prices were very reasonable in my opinion! I would definitely recommend this place to any and every one!!”
- Your Brother’s Bookstore. Neat new bookstore in Evansville… Founded in 2021 by brothers Sam and Adam Morris, Your Brother’s Bookstore brings a family-friendly, cozy little shop to downtown Evansville.
